here is an alternative formula, which you can use as a starting point and apparently contains more water. So halving water doesn't turn out to be a good solution.

R/ guiafenesin e 2 g ; menthol 35 mg , Na saccharine 50 mg ; citric acid 1 g , After benzoate 200 mg , alcohol 5 ml ; glycerin 20 ml ; sorbitol 70 % solution 40 ml ; water up to 100 ml

How long would this syrup be preserved and should we use aqua conservans to extend the retention time or is n't that necessary? Could adding green nutrient from Thiry cause problems? At the company itself, they can't give us much information.
