In the TMF, preparations with a corticosteroid are recommended for trituration and rightly so! But the preparation of a trituration with these micronized powders poses a lot of problems due to the

Electrostatic forces!! I think it is too simple to set: mixing with mannitol or lactose. May one be VB. Talk (1%) Mixing as anti-static to obtain a better "manipulable" powder? < br/>

Answer

There has been a lot of discussion within the Commission on the triturations. Mainly because their content is never 100% but e.g. 95.8%. This of course has its implications for the content of the preparation to which they are prepared.
to solve your problem I can advise you:
  1. buy industrially prepared trituraties. I know they are there (some anyway) at Pharminova (Omega Pharma) and it was agreed that the manufacturer would indicate the content on the label. A small conversion can calculate how much is to be weighed for the final preparation.

  2. If you prefer to make your own triturations I would recommend you the excipient for capsule although this is no longer in conformity with the TMF! This excipient consists of SiO 2 Coll (aerosil) 0.5 g + Lactose 1aq powder 99.5 g.
In the second part of the TMF, certain triturations, although not intended for dermatological preparations, will be prepared with this mixture. The presence of Coll SiO 2 , which allows you to rub the corticosteroid, must still largely solve your problem.
