Posted on: March 6 2013In the TMF, a trituration is recommended of the corticosteroid and rightly so! But: Making a trituration with these micronized powders produces a lot of problems due to the electrostatic forces!!
In my opinion, it is too simple to argue: mixing with mannitol or lactose is allowed to be VB. Talk (1%) Mixing as anti-static? To obtain a qualitative and "manipulative" powder? < br/>

I think your comment is right. Many corticosteroids are electrostatically charged by the micronisation. I would use the Diluens as diluent, which will be described in the TMF as a filler for capsules. It consists of lactose or mannitol to which 0.5% colloidal SiO2 (Aerosil) is added. I think this is a better decharger as talc.
