We have a pati ë Ntje with digestive problems and cow's milk allergy for which Gelilact (NaCMC) should be added to the milking. Is it any form of NaCMC we give?

Answer

obviously not. Gelilact has as composition CMC 98%; Dextrin and maltose AA 1%. However, the company does not mention the type of CMC, which refers to its viscosity. I've seen that as raw material a CMC with lower and one with higher viscosity is offered. I would opt for the lower viscosity but, however, mixed with 2% mannitol. I hope that the blending of the baby food will go smoothly.
