Deferoxamine is a chelator of Fe but can I use this in a CR è me or lotion for topical application? I just know the DESFERAL ampules for injection. < br/>

Answer

I have not found any other specific iron chelator. The chemical structure of deferoxamine mesylate is

Desferal is therefore a cationic compound and so you will have to use a non-ionogenic cream or milk, to which you add the contents of one or more ampoules. I believe that the ampoules are reimbursed by the RIZIV. With a cetomacrogol cream you have a magistal preparation with the intervention of the RIZIV. But because of the uncertainty about the percutaneous absorption of a kationogen drug I would consider using the PLO basis, which is currently offered as a kit by Bassron. I think the test is worth trying. Any result can always be communicated to me.
