I add 0.5 g Vit C to avoid precipitation. Or would this be too much that discolours my aroma? I read that 0.1% Vit C would be sufficient.

Answer
It is impossible for all possible compositions to give up the amount of ascorbic acid to be added. The pH of the prepared syrup should be 4 à 4.5. This value must be adjusted to the amount of Vit C.
